The Voices

Hello there!!
We are almost done editing, and i really like how the film is turning out, but we are still missing a huge component which is extremely vital for the film opening's success, the audio of the voices, and any other sounds we want to include in the film. Since the film opening revolves around a schizophrenic character going through a psychotic break and suffering through hallucinations and delusions the audio has to be able to represent the film opening.

While searching through the internet i came across a video on Ted Talk about the importance of foley sounds and how most movies actually lie about the sounds emitting from films., and create most audio through the use of other items.

He mentioned how...

"Sound is a language it can trigger us by supporting us geographically, it can change the mood, it can set the pace, it can make us scared"

I found this video was extremely helpful because it talked about a variety of different techniques that we can incorporate in our film to help emit emotions such as terror and fear from our audience, which is one of our objectives for our film opening.

Another important component that we need to incorporate in our film is the recording of the voices telling the character to perform a variety of different actions. My group and i went through each individual scene and created a dialogue for what the voices should say.

“Run run they are coming for you
“get the clothes, put it on, hide.”

“Hurry up they’re behind you,”
“Run faster”
“go go go”
”Hide"
"In there quick”

“You’re worthless they are going to find you, get up”
“Stupid stupid stupid”
“They are watching you”
“We're your only friends”
“Everyone else hates you”

“Take the pills out of your pocket.”
“You don't want them”
“Throw them on the ground”
“they’re poison they’re poison”

“Get up find something find something.”
“stop what are you doing stay still.”
“Right there go pick it up quick”
“”throw it throw it”

“You will NEVER amount to anything”
“you are NOTHING”
“you are a nobody.”
“everyone hates you”
“nobody likes you” “They are coming for you”
“They’re are going to find you”
“you can’t do anything right”

“Keep going”
Good  job
“You deserve to suffer”

“Walk to the ledge”
“Go over the ledge”
“Jump”
“Drown yourself”
“You don’t deserve to alive”
“You are worthless”

“Stop what are you doing”
“Don’t you get it we are you only friends”
“You can’t do anything right”

“They’re here”

We color coded the text to signify:
Pink is for the girl voice
Blue is for the guy voice
Red is for a combination of both

Can't wait to start recording the voices, and incorporating audio into our film!!
