Art of Film Title

While trying to decide on a name for our film I came across a website titled "The graphic art of film Title" It mentioned how the lettering of films could evoke the genre and subject matter of film. Lettering can convey tone through the expressive lettering and layout. This is why my group and I thought it was vital to find the perfect font and layout. We used an extremely helpful website called Dafont.com, and went through the different fonts under the category "Destroyed" and found the perfect font titled "28 days later." We felt this font expressed the thriller genre and the psychotic break of the main character.

We also were looking through the layouts on Imovie and found a few we felt expressed the subject of the film. We are still deciding on the perfect layout but i did happen to come across an idea on how we wanted the title to appear.

I got inspiration from the trailer of the original 1984 "Nightmare on Elm Street." I liked the red dark color and the way the title appeared on the screen, it intrigued me and helped convey an eerie tone, which is the same feeling we are trying to display in our film.

I'm excited to play around with the layouts until we come around the perfect one which portrays the film opening perfectly!
